Removed 8" thick ice build up, on the entire rear roof, from gutter line up to the peak. Note: 4 x sky llights were completely covered.

This porch, with its pillars and radius railings, needed major repairs and some custom-made carpentry, including the railings themselves. Jeff did an exquisite. He was thorough, efficient, courteous, cooperative and clean. We wanted to do some of the finish work ourselves (e.g. painting) he was fine with that.

He did a great job. The work is beautiful.

Rebuild a complicated radius handrail system on our house.

Jeff Baxter, really out did himself on a complete demo and restoration of a one bedroom condo propert.

Jeff's responsiveness, from  my first contact, was great. This is so important when working on such a big project.

The  quality of workmanship shows he takes great pride in his work no matter how big or small.

Working with me, from the start to finish and keeping me informed of any changes or modifications needed to the project.

Jeff's pricing is compentitive and comparable within the area.

After the demo/restoration project, I hired Jeff for other properties including my home and have never been disappointed and you will not be disappointed should you hire Mr. Baxter for your construction needs.

Gut/remodel of a one bedroom condo.

A diamond in the is no secret that quality carpenters are extremely hard to come by.

After slow progress with my original contractor, I hired Jeff, as my master carpenter, to complete a house that my wife and I recently flipped in Newton Center. A professional and very reasonable guy, I am mad at myself for not finding Jeff sooner. Always the first one in and the last one out, he was polite and kept everything clean. His attention to detail was phenomenal. He is a one and done type worker. I will not forget when he calmed my nerves after thinking on his feet to solve a few hiccups caused by our HVAC contractor.  Jeff is savvy to the latest building codes, so the final inspection passed with flying colors. Thanks to him, the job was completed 3 days before schedule.  I cannot  recommend him enough. I have already recommended him to family and friends and he will surely be working on our next project.

Whole house gut/remodel. Trim out the entire interior carpentry  details.

Installed windows, doors, railings and rebuild stair case treads, risers and trim. Also, fixed multiple ceilings, walls and floors. Worked in unison with our subcontractors (electrician, plumber, HVAC).

Jeff was a very creative carpenter. His vision and skill were perfectly aligned with the style and outcome we were looking for on this project. The project was a collaboration of our design scene and Jeff's carpentry experience. Jeff also had multiple key insights and input  during the design and build process, that helped the project along the way. Jeff's creativity and passion for this type of project, really shone through.

He has a keen interest in this type of work in particular. He is also very respectful of the jobsite, being organized and cleaning up.

Design, fabricate and install a

custom treehouse for young children.

We wanted a swing set for our young children, but didn't want to sacrific the flat lawn space plus we didn't want the same generic corporate swing set our neighbors all have. We came up with the idea of building a tree house around one of our maple trees with a swing bar and slide off of it.

We had trouble finding a contractor willing to take on a treehouse project, but fortunately got referred to Jeff Baxter. Jeff met us at a customer's house to see another project of his. We loved his work at first sight and  showed him our design. Jeff came by our house later that afternoon to see the tree house location and further talk through the project. He proposed many creative ideas and changes to our plan including a larger deck and using a tennis net instead of wood balusters between the railings. He gave us a verbal estimate and we gave him a downpayment to secure a spot on his calendar. Jeff sent a written estimate the following day and he got to work a week later. After calculating the size and quantity of wood he needed, Jeff met us at a lumber yard to pick out and order the wood he needed. We were responsible for acquiring  the swing set accessories; sliders, ladder, swings and tennis net. We progressed much slower than any of us expected due to the unique nature of the project. But, we are very pleased with the outcome. Jeff was very diligent about updating us on his progress and scedule as well as making sure we were comfortable with our project. Throughout the project, Jeff's prioritiy was making sure he constructed a safe and creative swing set while also making sure we were happy. Jeff was a pleasure to work with; easy to talk to, very detailed orientend and skillled carpenter. We would recommend Jeff and plan to use him in futures.

Jeffrey was simply the most amazing carpenter I have ever come across. He can think through any problem and come up with a variety of solutions to match your price point. His work  is exceptionally high quality. His price is also beyond reasonsable. For example, I had two different estimates of close to $2,000 to replace the plinths under the exterior porch columns. Jeff did it for about $400. One of the other things that really I appreciate about the way he works, is that he is methodical and tidy. At the end of each day, in fact during the day, he kept the work area completely usable. No sawdust, no mess left around. He came up with ingenious solutions to the problems of my sliding interior pocket doors, which have not opened for 20+ years. He took the woodwork apart, did not damage anything and had them working smoothly in a day and a half. I appreciate that he was willing to talk through possible solutions to various projects and was not at all interested in just making work for himself. All in all I will finish by saying he is highly recommended.

Replaced the plinths at the bottoms of 5 columns, of the front porch, main entry. Changed the swing of main entry door to open outward, instead of in. Repaired three mammoth sliding doors inside the interior foyer.
